Fic Rec: "Captain Fraudulent"

This was one of the first fanfics I ever read in this fandom, and I count myself lucky to have found it first. If a Captain America story mixed with real history is your thing, if you are always up for a not-so-gentle skewering of both the 24 news cycle and certain personalities within it (*cough* Fox News *cough*) and if you like a Steve Rogers who struggles but still manages to make a place for himself in a world he didn't choose? This is your fic.

The series consists of two stories so far, plus a separate series of several related outtakes. All are worth reading. So, you know, go and read the thing. :)

You're very welcome! I have it and its sequel saved on my Kindle (and I'm waiting for the option to download all fics in a series before I download the outtakes.) I reread it over the weekend and was like---yep, I need to rec this one. Again :)
