Hi everyone,

I finally made it back to post here, after being felled by a) a massive kidney infection and b) the week-long nausea from the medication to treat the kidney infection. (Which I took anyway, because antibiotic resistance is a Thing and not a Thing I wish to encourage.) I'm finally on the mend enough to think about being creative. :D

2018 has been a shitty year, for the most part. Financially, emotionally, and professionally challenging, but there were some good things about it. My daughter and I got to see "Hamilton" in January (almost a year ago now and boy, that doesn't even begin to feel right- how can it have been that long ago?) which is something I don't think we'll ever forget.

I wrote, and kept writing. "The Ability to Stop," which I finally started posting in...2017? Is still ongoing, and while I was once wildly optimistic and wanted to finish the story before "Black Panther" came out...um... not so much. :D It's still ongoing, if slowly, and I'm totally okay with that. (I really don't write small chapters LOL.) I also wrote short stories for the Happy Steve Bingo challenge and one super fluffy one for my beta reader's birthday. And I came out of that more determined than ever that Steve, and Bucky, and their friends, deserve some manner of happiness and healing. Pity I don't think the MCU is ever going to give them that, but that's what we have fanfic for.

And finally, I discovered (and rediscovered) the kindness of friends, including the "pocket friends" who live in my cellphone. Bless you all. <3

Wishing you all a happy and productive 2019...!
